Special General Meeting for members on Saturday the 23 March, 2024 at 8.30 am to make the case for these changes to our rules.

The Queensland Dept of Fair Trading is making some changes to the rules that govern Incorporated Entities, such as ourselves (MSS). This will necessitate some changes to our ‘Rules’ (previously called our constitution). There are several minor additions and one major area that need to be included and passed.

Following the meeting, it is envisaged that our new boats will be blessed along with the eye dotting ceremony will take place by the Chenrezig Institute monks.  Following that presentation will be made by the Honourable Dan Purde for the successful Gambling Fund Grant, of a new dragon boat and trailer, Councillor Ted Hungerford will be on hand as a representative of the Sunshine Coast Council for our successful grant of the ‘gear trailer. Finally, invitations will be sent to the Mooloolaba Lions Club for their donation of two new trolley dollies and to the Waterfront Hotel for their generous financial support.
