Manly Dragons Regatta
When:  Sunday, 14 October 2018
Where: Kawana Waters, Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina
There are currently 12 clubs attending the next sports regatta for the 18/19 season. The day will commence with the excitement of 2000m racing followed by 200m races  – a great introduction for new teams and paddlers alike.   A preliminary race draw has been prepared that caters for 20’s and 10s teams with two heats for all teams plus finals.  Combination teams will be permitted for clubs that are struggling to complete a team on their own.  Or if you are short of a few paddlers, Manly will be able to offer some volunteers. This will be a fun day and all clubs are encouraged to participate. The program and racing will be tight and quick and we expect to finish before 3pm.
 

Facilities:  Food stall, coffee barista and raffles on site.
Parking available on Sportsmans Parade and at the southern end of the lake. 
Stadium toilets will be open for use.

7.00am-7.30am ... Registration Open
7.45am ... Sweeps Briefing
8.00am ... Races Commence marshalling at 7.50am
 

Race Distances:  200 metres (20’s and 10’s) – no double rostering of paddlers between 20’s and 10’s within the same category 2000 metres 20’s crew only
Categories Women, Mixed, Open (no age limitations), BCS & Juniors A minimum of three entries is required to run each category
Fees:  $15 per paddler & $5 per Junior paddler Non DBQ registered paddlers must sign the Participants List
What to bring:  Race shirt, hat, sunscreen, chair, food and drinks. ID Tags required ... non DBQ registered paddlers will be issued with ID band on race day.
