BROADWATER REGATTA

Date: SATURDAY  8 February 2020

Time: 7.00am - approx 3.30pm

Location: Emerald Lakes, Lake Side Drive, Birmingham Rd, Carrara

Race Distances: 200m (20's & 10's) - mixed, women, open, junior plus 2km race around the island

Entry Fees: $15 adult / $5 junior. DBQ ID tags required

Site Facilities: Raffles, food stall and coffee van

What to bring: ID tag, race shirt, paddle, bum pad, hat, water bottle, snacks, sunscreen, chair

Registrations close: Friday 31 January at 5pm

Under 18 years of age paddlers must wear a PFD, no exceptions.

N.B. New paddlers who don't have a current membership with MSS please register as a non-member.

Lakes Management and the Gold Coast Chinese Association have combined to hold the official 2020 Chinese New Year celebrations at Emerald Lakes. Their focus will be on the late afternoon - evening festivities in the Emerald Lakes Town Square. Hence this regatta will be held on SATURDAY 8th February to take advantage of combining the two events. The Chinese New Year celebrations will take place in the Emerald Lakes square (where the statue of David is) from 12.30pm until 8pm (approximately). Please enjoy street performers, music, parades and truck food to finish off another great day of racing.
